This division becomes one of the core businesses of the group.

Acquisition of ATU which lead to a significant stake in MKS, a company specialising in the supply of engineering products for the oil and gas industry in Malaysia.

Establishment of after-sales and maintenance division catering to manufacturing and mining industries. Later, service offerings were expanded to include maintenance of dust collection systems for pollution control, incinerators and skimmer.

Incorporated in Malaysia as N & N Holdings Sdn Bhd (a private limited company).

Conversion of name from N & N Holdings Sdn Bhd to UMS Holdings Sdn Bhd and finally to present form.

Establishment of wire mesh manufacturing plant (UMSM) in Rawang Integrated Industrial Park. The plant is a commercial success with 95% of its products sold to quarries and the remaining 5% exported to countries such as Singapore and China‘s SAR (Hong Kong).

Converted into UMS Holdings Berhad (public company).
